Why Teams Matter

In small organizations, your team is your engine. A great strategy will still fail if your team isn’t engaged, aligned, and empowered.

How to Strengthen Your Team

1. Communicate Clearly
Establish regular check-ins (daily huddles, weekly meetings). Keep everyone informed and ask for input.

2. Define Roles and Responsibilities
Use a simple RACI chart to clarify who is Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, and Informed. Share a one-page team charter.

3. Empower Through Trust
Give team members room to lead in their areas. Let them make decisions. Offer training (even free resources or job shadowing).

4. Recognize and Review Regularly
Say thank you. Highlight wins in newsletters or meetings. Offer informal feedback monthly and formal reviews annually.

  • "Don’t assume your team can read your mind. Spell out expectations clearly—and check they’re understood."
